About the Church of Lightworkers

Mission Statement

The mission of the Church of Lightworkers is to bring the blessings of spiritual enlightenment and healing to the world through celebration and support of Spirit and its Lightworkers.

Our Creed

I am a living, breathing manifestation of the divine Spirit. Through me, Spirit creates love. Through me, Spirit creates healing. Through me, Spirit creates abundance. Through me, Spirit creates wisdom. Through me, Spirit creates kindness, forgiveness, happiness, and much more. And I am grateful for all of Spirit's gifts.

"God is love, love is all, all is one."

Statement of Faith

Regarding The Foundations Of Our Faith: The Church is based in the New Thought and the New Age Movements, and thus is generally related to the denominations of the United Church of Religious Science, the Unity Church, and the Church of Divine Science.

The core beliefs of New Thought are:

  • God, Infinite Intelligence, or "Spirit" as we sometimes say, is omnipotent and omnipresent in all parts of, and beyond, the physical reality that we observe with our senses.
  • Spirit is the ultimate reality.
  • Our true nature is the same as Spirit.
  • Spiritually attuned thinking, growing into enlightenment, is a positive force for good.
  • All disease is mental in origin.
  • Spiritual thinking has a healing effect.

We also believe that Spirit manifests itself in and through the universe and our world, but is not limited to this physical reality. We believe that through the millenia mankind may have recognized Spirit in a variety of forms and under a variety of names. We believe that people are entitled to worship, serve, and communicate with Spirit, including but not limited to through prayer and meditation, without discrimination, and that the governments of the world have a duty to permit and protect such worships, service, and communications.

The Church also promotes the following specific beliefs:

Regarding Prophesying And Spiritual Counseling: We believe that individuals may be given awareness of the will, intent, and wisdom of Spirit, and through Spirit given information regarding the world and happenings therein, whether in the past, present or future, and may express these informations in public prophecies or private guidances or counseling, also sometimes referred to as "fortune-telling" or "psychic readings." We recognize prophesying, spiritual counseling, and psychic reading as spiritual and religious functions, and as a service of and for Spirit, and that prophets, spiritual counselors, and psychic readers are therefore Lightworkers, and entitled to the fullest legal protection of their spiritual activities.

Regarding Prophetic Tools And Devices: We believe that so-called "psychic" and divination tools, such as Tarot and other cards, crystal balls and other crystals, pendulums, dowsing rods, numerology, palmistry, tea leaves, and other such devices may aid prophets, spiritual counselors, and psychic readers in their spiritual and religious work, and that the spiritual and religious use of these devices is therefore entitled to the fullest legal protection.

Regarding Spiritual Or Energy Healing: We believe that Spirit may provide spiritual or energy healing through individuals, including but not limited to through prayer, Reiki, Ionixx, and the laying on of hands. We recognize spiritual and energy healing as spiritual and religious functions, and as a service of and for Spirit, and that spiritual and energy healers are therefore Lightworkers, and entitled to the fullest legal protection of their spiritual activities.

Regarding Mediumship And Communicating With Those Who Have Passed: We believe that the conscious awareness of the individual continues after the change called death, and that living individuals may communicate with those who have passed on from the material world through the phenomenon known as "mediumship." We recognize mediumship as a spiritual and religious function, and as a service of and for Spirit, and that mediums are therefore Lightworkers, and entitled to the fullest legal protection of their spiritual activities.
